Turkish Airlines has launched direct flights from Turkey to the Maldives. First Turkish Airlines flight to Maldives TK730 arrived on Sunday morning. Aircraft was welcomed with traditional water cannon salute by fire tenders and arriving passengers were greeted with traditional Bodu Beru music and flower bouquets.
Turkish flag carrier will fly nonstop, 5-days-a-week service from Atatürk International Airport in Istambul to Ibrahim Nasir International Airport in Malé. Flights depart Istanbul at 08:25pm and arrive at 07:10am. On the return they depart Malé at 09:00am and arrive Istambul at 02:30pm. Tickets prices start from USD800 for a round trip.
