Beach House Maldives at Manafaru the Waldorf Astoria Collection, part of the Hilton Group, has launched a daily customized seaplane service to transfer its guests from Malé International Airport to the resort located in Haa Alifu atoll in the Northern tip of the Maldives archipelago.
A brand new Dehavilla and twin otter seaplane were also acquired by the resort recently to join the existing aircraft of the same make and model that arrived in October to launch the service. The planes have been leased by Trans-Maldivian Airways (TMA) who will fly the planes to and from the resort depending on guests’ needs.
The Waldorf Astoria Resort is the first and only resort in the atoll to offer seaplane transfers to its guests. Frederic Lebegue, general manager of Beach House Maldives, The Waldorf Astoria Collection, said: “With the launch of our customized seaplane into the Maldivian skies, we’re putting the glamour back into travel, ensuring that our guests can begin their Maldivian holiday from the moment they reach the airport. The seaplane flight offers a ‘private jet’ experience making this an inimitable way to travel with aerial views of the islands below.”
